‘Enemy’ film Review: It is good for the producer and director of a film that they know that there is nothing in their film that is different from any previous film, there is no such element in it that can make it a blockbuster. Producers and directors who know the capabilities of their films do not make any such claim in the film which is not digestible to the audience. This point becomes all the more important in the case of the Tamil film “Anime” released on Sony Liv, because both the heroes of this film are huge stars and both have their own fan following, whom they are not in the habit of angering. .

Vishal, who is known as an action star and Arya, hero of “Sarpatta Parambarayi”, a great film on the boxing tradition of Chennai, both of them have done a great job in this film, despite having a weak script, both of them carry the film on their shoulders. live. The movie is okay, nothing sudden or unexpected happens so watch the movie.

The story of the film may seem a bit familiar. Two friends, one of whom likes following the law and the other likes breaking the law. Growing up, both are face to face with each other, and then one of the good or the bad wins, in which the good has more chances of winning. Rajeev and Chozan are childhood friends in the anime. Rajeev’s father (Prakash Raj) trains both the boys to become excellent investigation experts, in which the chosen one always outdoes Rajeev. After the murder of Rajeev’s father, Chozan’s father (Tambi Ramaiah) takes him away. Years later, Chozan’s neighbors are brutally murdered in a bomb blast. While investigating on his own, Chozan meets Rajeev, who has now become an international criminal. In the subsequent story, there are many duels between Chozan and him while facing Rajeev’s tricks, and in the end Chozan is forced to finish Rajeev.

The script of this film raises many questions. Shaan Karuppasamy, S Ramakrishnan and director Anand Shankar have written it together. The mystery of the murder of retired CBI officer Prakash Raj remains unsolved. The story suddenly reaches Singapore. The journey of Rajeev and Chozan from adolescence to youth has not been included in the film. How Rajeev’s (Arya’s) character becomes an international level criminal is missing. How do the thoughts of removing crime from the society become so strong in the mind of Chozan (Vishal) that he keeps on fighting criminals in part time along with running a grocery shop.

To show the goodness inside Arya, a heroine angle has also been inserted, which is very poor. Vishal’s love story begins in a strange way and then leaves somewhere. It is very difficult to commit a crime in Singapore, but Arya kills the policemen with such ease, arranges the necessary equipment to kill the Foreign Minister of India, and the conspiracy to kill her almost succeeds. There are many other weaknesses which do not seem important to the authors to remove any possibility.

Both Vishal and Arya have tried as much as possible to do a great job in their respective roles. Most of Vishal’s successful films are action films, so he should have worked harder because in this his action is seen only around the climax. Arya, who was recently praised in Sarpatta Parambarai, in this film, her negative shade remained mild due to weak writing.

Jealousy in childhood has such a strong effect that by youth you become an international level criminal and in this entire period you cannot even find the person you are jealous of, this is not worth digesting. It was necessary to explain how Arya’s life progressed after growing up without parents. The characters of Prakash Raj, Mamta Mohandas, Mrinalini Ravi were small, almost useless. There should be a heroine, so casting her characters is a guarantee of lack of logic in today’s scripts. The rest of the characters were minor, they did not have any major contribution in the story. The music of the film was also simple and there was no song that could hit the tongue.

While watching the anime, the audience definitely thinks that both the characters compete with each other in their childhood, Prakash Raj prepares them physically and mentally, sometimes with Rubik’s Cube, sometimes with investigation books, sometimes with marksmanship and sometimes with the criminal in the crowd. By doing exercises like searching. After growing up, it was not considered necessary to use sharp mind in mutual competition between the two, there was no display of shooting of both. The hope with which the film begins, ends as the characters grow up. The incomplete screenplay and the pointless Singapore philosophy are heavy on the story of the film. If you have spare time, you can watch the movie.
